Our project comprises of 7 Best Impreza McRae Edition cars; one for each of Colin’s World Rally Championship victories at the wheel of an Impreza Group A. The collection will be completed by an 8th car to commemorate the 1995 World Championship title.
The continuation cars that are made by Best Engineering are built with meticulous attention to detail but with faithful regard to their historic status – using only those modern improvements that are appropriate and where the FIA Rally Group A regulations allow such improvements and upgrades, but without distorting the essence of the car itself. These are not replicas but are cars created to faithfully follow the original specifications and characteristics. A big part of the work to make a rallying car like this is the careful research and attention to detail.
