My family chats with Nancy Pearlman outside the Pearlman Cabin in Idyllwild. Nancy's parents commissioned John Lautner to build this cabin for them in the mid-'50s, and it crystallizes a lot of his forward-thinking ideas about organic architecture, his belief that a building should be rooted in its surroundings, and the merging of inside/outside space. It's a special place.
