Sule Pagoda in Myanmar is one of the main attractions in the country. They say that a lock of hair of Buddha Shakyamuni is kept in a stupa, hence the name of the pagoda (literal translation sounds like "pagoda in which the hair of Buddha is buried"). According to legend, it was built about 2500 thousand years ago, i.e. earlier than the famous Shwedagon Pagoda, considered the oldest Buddhist shrine in the world. For a long time, Sule Pagoda has been the center of political and cultural life not only of the city, but of the whole country, in addition, the Sule Pagoda in Myanmar is included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list.
