In the final film of silver screen icon Mae West, rock singer Alice Cooper sheds his stage makeup and dons a short wig to play a bell captain serenading actress Marlo Manners (West) in the 1977 musical comedy "Sextette." Adapted from the 1961 play "Sextet" written by Mae West. It's a musical sex farce about a movie star and international sex symbol Marlo Manners (West, who else?) and her efforts to consummate her marriage to husband number six (Timothy Dalton) in a hotel overflowing with interfering ex-husbands. West's male co-stars are George Hamilton, Tony Curtis, Ringo Starr, Walter Pigeon, and George Raft. The music and lyrics for the film are by composer/musician Van McCoy, who wrote the#1 disco classic "The Hustle" in 1975.
