Pretty stoked on this build after having watched Star Wars Visions! Eventually it will get a proffieboard and neopixel install, but today I'll just be customizing this Mercury lightsaber hilt and chassis from Ignition Saber Co. The goal is to give it that quintessential katana feel but with a twist. I'll also be adding some modifications for both functionality and visual appeal. Rather than using ray skin underneath the ito, as is traditional with the katana, I chose snakeskin. Then I used real Japanese leather ito over it for a really sharp look. However, my favorite customization lies inside the hilt, where the faux death star lights inspired me to do some cutting and epoxy work. You'll have to watch the video to see the rest!
