Global National reports on March 17, 2023, about an upcoming vote in the House of Commons to force Justin Trudeau's Chief of Staff, Katie Telford, to testify before a Commons committee studying China's interference in the 2019 and 2021 Canadian federal elections. If the Prime Minister declares the vote to be one of confidence in his government, Jagmeet Singh's NDP MPs will have to decide whether or not to keep their confidence and supply deal with the Liberals or vote to bring down the government. The Liberals have been obstructing a parliamentary committee that has attempted to force Telford to testify on the issue.
