The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) was officially unveiled today in Europe. This model builds on the success of its predecessor, introducing several new features and enhancements aimed at increasing both performance and comfort.

The powertrain remains largely the same, featuring a 2.4-liter gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 248 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. A key improvement is the larger 20 kWh battery, which extends the all-electric range beyond the previous 38 miles, offering a total driving range of about 420 miles. Additionally, Mitsubishi's latest Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system is included, optimizing traction and handling across different driving modes.

On the interior side, the 2025 Outlander PHEV now comes with a new 12.3-inch infotainment system, ventilated leather seats, and a high-end Yamaha audio system. Mitsubishi has also upgraded the safety and driver assistance technologies, offering features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance.

The vehicle is expected to go on sale in Europe in early 2025.
