Toyota assures the new Avensis differs a lot from the model it replaces. Under the bonnet are two new BMW-sourced diesel engines 1.6 and 2 litres making 112 and 143 hp respectively. Beside two new engines the new Avensis now has a completely new exterior. You also get LED day running lights, and a redesigned interior with new materials.
