Ingredients:
Mutton steaks: 500 grams
Mint leaves: 2 tablespoons
Chopped coriander: 2 tablespoons
Whole green chillies: 2
Salt: 1/4th teaspoon + 1/4th teaspoon + ½ teaspoon
Raw papaya paste: 1 tablespoon
Spices (garam masala powder): ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder: 1/4th teaspoon
Red chilli powder: 1 ½ teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
Cooking oil: 1 tablespoon
Lemon: 1 whole
Procedure:
1. Add mint leaves to an empty bowl, add chopped coriander, whole green chillies and 1/4th teaspoon salt.
2. Grind or crush all these into a paste.
3. Take 2 tablespoons chopped raw papaya. Add 1/4th teaspoon salt to chopped raw papaya.
4. Grind or crush into a paste (Use only 1 tablespoon papaya paste and store the remaining into the refrigerator for next use).
5. Wash mutton steaks and drain the water thoroughly.
6. Cut each into ½ inch thick steaks. Add mint leaves, coriander and green chilli paste which we have kept aside.
7. Add 1 tablespoon raw papaya paste. Add ½ teaspoon salt, add spices or garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and add ginger garlic paste.
8. Mix thoroughly and keep these steaks aside for marination for about 2 hours. Mix at times for perfect marination.
9. After two hours of marinating the steaks, add cooking oil to the steaks.
10. Add lemon juice. Mix thoroughly.
11. Arrange the steaks on the grill. Close the lid and grill on low to medium heat.
12. When one side is grilled, flip and grill the other side.
Grilled Mutton Steaks are ready. Serve with vegetable salad.
