The True Gift of Christmas: Jesus, Our Saviour
The world is buzzing with excitement, searching for the perfect gift for one another. But have we truly considered the greatest gift ever given?
This Christmas, let us remember Jesus Christ – God's gift to us, to save us from our sins. As prophesied by Isaiah, "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given .." (see Isaiah 9:6). This wasn't just a prophecy; it was God's divine plan.
Before Jesus was born, an angel declared to Joseph, ".. you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins" (see Matthew 1:21).
On that first Christmas night, the angel announced to the shepherds, ".. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior .." (see Luke 2:10-11).
This divine gift wasn't just for a select few. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).
This Christmas, as we exchange gifts, let us remember and thank God for His indescribable gift – Jesus Christ, the true meaning of Christmas.
May this true gift fill our hearts with joy, love, and gratitude this season.
