Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Titan chain lever type load binder for 3/8 of an inch to 1/2 inch thick chain. This has a safe working load limit of 9,200 pounds. This load binder is going to help you easily and securely tighten down your chains to secure heavy loads. Basically, the way it works is, if you have that opened up, as you can see that's going to span out wider and then you can secure your load together and then bring this closed to cinch those chains together. It's going to be perfect for agricultural as well as industrial tie-down applications and the advantage that this levering mechanism has over a ratcheting type binder is that it's going to have fewer moving parts and therefore requires less maintenance over time. It is made of a durable forged steel construction, so it's going to be very strong and long-lasting and as you can see, everything's coated in this durable powder coat finish so it's going to resist rust and corrosion pretty well. This does meet all Department of Transportation regulations and on the end there, you can rotate those lengths to adjust to meet whatever load you have. This does not extend them out, but it does just give you a little bit of option on how you hook that hook up to your chain.
As far as the specifications, again, this works with 3/8 of an inch thick to 1/2 inch thick lengths and it has that safe working load limit of 9,200 pounds or 9200 pounds. The handle is going to measure 14 inches from tip to about where it flares out there and this is going to have a minimum reach of 21 inches, so that's what it spans to at the minimum. One important thing to note with this is that it is not intended for overhead lifting. This is designed to work as part of a complete tie-down system and the overall capacity depends on the safe working load limit of the chains that you choose as well as the capacity of the load binder itself. The item being tied down must not exceed the combined working load limit of the lowest rated components in the system. So basically, you're only as strong as the weakest link in your system. With that, that's going to do it for our look at the Titan chain lever type load binder for 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick chain..
