Whenever a crown or a bridge comes off from the tooth surface, the patient has to go immediately to the dentist. This happens because of eating a lot of sticky surface like chewing gums, éclairs chocolates , chikkis or toffees. If the patient doesn’t visit the dentist within a few days, the crown or a bridge might not fit in the same position and the adjacent teeth as well as the opposite teeth might incur that space. The instruction have to be followed by the patient whenever a new crown or abridge is fixed, like not having anything for half an hour, soft food for 24 hours ad not to have sticky stuff at all on that particular side where the crown or the bridge is fixed. If the tooth height is sufficient, the crown usually doesn’t come off. If the height is not sufficient, the dentist has to make some retentive features so that the crown will stick into that place.
