What Makes a Family Strong
We were all kids once, each of us with our own history which started in childhood and stays with us throughout life. The reason for this, is that in terms of the formation of our personalities, our childhood is the most important period. During this period we are susceptible and sensitive to the influence of our parents, family environment, parenting styles and the role that is given to us. Our childhood experience performs like a filter through which we perceive the world.
Even after the passing of parents, we still process our childhood memories, projecting them simultaneously on our:
- self-esteem, confidence and attitude to one’s self
- interactions and relationships with others in a vertical plane
- financial freedom and our ability to earn, achieve and grow
- choice of a partner and the type of relationship with them
A picture is worth a thousand words! To ensure a deeper understanding of parent-child relationships, to explore their consequences, to separate from the parental stereotypes, to forgive and move forward, we routinely use clips from famous movies — to portray traumas, stereotypes and negative beliefs in real life. The effectiveness of this online learning method is achieved through the inclusion of our visual channel of perception, emotionality of the image, and ease of submission of material.
This movie clip refers to the series on Favorable Parent-Child Relationships which consists of 17 webinars created for parents of small children, adult parents of adult children and adult children of adult parents.
