It happened. The worlds came to Wollongong. And the racing was amazing. I'll explain more about the experience of my visit to the Illawarra region, on Dharawal land, in the coming weeks because it's difficult for me to paraphrase all that I witnessed.
It wasn't possible to film the action, because of limitations relating to broadcast rights, so I can't show you any of the racing. But I can show you the places I went and the roads I rode... and explain why the final day of the 2022 UCI Road World Championships will always be remembered fondly, by me at least.
I hope you too got of experience some of the joy of what happened on the roads of Wollongong and surrounds these last few days.
