A day after the Supreme Court gave a nod to the scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi, the Muslim side said they will cooperate with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Survey to determine if the mosque was built upon a temple.Syed Mohammad Yasin, the Joint Secretary of the Jamaat Committee, said that since this matter was in the Supreme Court, no one from the Masjid Committee participated in the survey. However, now that the Supreme Court has refused to stay the scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex, the committee will cooperate.
On Friday, there was not a single member present from the Muslim side. Meanwhile, security around the mosque was tightened on the second day of the survey.
