Frenzied beachgoers scrambled to escape a shark spotted swimming mere metres away from children.
Panicked couples and families rushed to safety as the tips of two black fins appeared perilously close to the shore of Hollywood Beach, Florida, USA.
As an elderly man and woman enjoy the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, people on the beach suddenly start screaming 'shark' at them to get their attention.
Within seconds the pair spot the fins and desperately wade through the chest height water towards the safe sand.
