Thousands demonstrated in Baghdad on Saturday over US sanctions against the leader of Asaib Ahl al-Haq group, Qais al-Khazali.
Asaib Ahl al-Haq group members performed a military show followed by burning American and Israeli flags, as well as cardboard cutouts of US President Donald Trump.
Demonstrators marched through the streets of Baghdad without any violent incidents.
The United States Department of the Treasury blacklisted Iraqi figures including the leader of Asaib al-Haq, a powerful Iran-backed militia, accused of being behind deadly sniping attacks on protesters.
The US Treasury sanctioned leader Qais al-Khazali, his brother Laith al-Khazali, a commander in the group, and Husain Falih Aziz al-Lami.
