The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy showers with thunder and lightning for 10 districts in north Karnataka. A 'Red Alert' was sounded for Bagalkot, Gadag, Haveri, Vijayapura, Dharwad, Belagavi, Raichur, Kalaburagi and Yadgir districts for Wednesday and Thursday.
