This is the compulsory technical exercise for Grade 4 Trinity Guildhall.
I once sat in on a workshop given by the heads of the guitar syllabus and they stressed how important and lovely it is to play these exercises and scales with feeling. Strive for legato, ascending and descending dynamics and a nice rit (slow down) at the end to frame the exercise as a mini-piece.
