It is frustrating when you go to the lumber yard, spend good money on lumber, only to have it look like a hockey stick by the time you start your project. Jointers are expensive. Lets face it, most of us are on tight budgets. Jointers tend to be bulky as well. The question I asked myself was, even if I bought one do I really want to sacrifice valuable space. It is after all, limited. Enter the Jig, the Jointing Jig. Actually you can taper with it as well. So, I guess it should be called the Table Saw Jointing and Tapering Jig. The hold downs for the jig are a similar yet different take on the mechanism I used for my DIY table saw rip fence.
