(19 May 2021) Israel's missile defense system, the Iron Dome was activated Wednesday night to intercept a barrage of rockets fired by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip.
At least eight rockets could be seen trailing the night sky before some of them were intercepted by the Iron Dome system.
The Israeli military confirmed sirens were sounded in the area around the Gaza Strip but there was no immediate confirmation if any of them landed in Israel or elsewhere.
