Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has urged restraint on all sides in the Middle East after reports of an attack on Iran by Israel.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had earlier called for “calm heads” to prevail while also warning the UK’s ally to avoid “significant escalation”.
