What we expected was a quiet Saturday morning walk in Rakvere. But when we arrived we discovered ourselves at the food festival. Åland pancakes and Ukrainian deruny (potato pancakes) were really good!
At a top of the hill there is Rakvere Castle that has, throughout the ages, belonged to Danish kings and the Livonian Order as well as the Swedish and Polish states.
Today the castle is guarded by a white cat 😊
Nearby there is a place to organize various folk events. Modern urban architecture at its best!
