They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Strokes of paint, dabbles of clay, sharp edges of granite, crescendos of sweet notes played on a violin - an artist is aware of the subjectivity of beauty and the fleeting opinion of others that sways with the winds of societal pressure. You, as the creator and artist of your own destiny - what will you see as beautiful? And, what medium will you add to the canvas of life to illustrate for others what catches your eye and colors your world? Sydney Emuakhagbon uses the stage to shine a spotlight on the impact society can have on impressionable artists and their quest to create a masterpiece within their life.
Sydney Emuakhagbon is a 9th grade student attending Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. She is 14 years old and a dedicated dreamer. She's firm in what she believes and doesn't stand for injustice that she can aid in stopping. She is excited about her bright future and the possibility of bringing others along for the ride in celebrating differences and uniqueness that keeps our world from being boring.
