The Sager Chemical Axe Co. was based out of Warren PA. The company claimed they had a special chemical process to prevent the steel from corroding, thus the name. This axer was used by James Bryant. Mr. Bryant had worked as a puddler in the Danville iron works. When the mill closed in the 1930's he became a logger.
