This game is very very good. It's the directors cut of Dead Rising 2 with Frank West as the main protagonist. Basically dlc repackaged as a rerelease. Real strange.
In Off the Record they added certain outfits with attributes or stat boosts. Having the full sports fan outfit increases speed and prevents you from throwing up from drinking too much alcohol. The core strategy to speed up the game is to see movies which are on at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and midnight. The game only spawns in 8 npc's at a time so you have to save a certain amount before more will spawn in sometimes. Some don't have alerts for you and you have to discover them yourself. The two guys hanging you have an hour before they spawn and die. Tape it or die you have to find them, bring them plates and a cement saw, and then come back later. I do the overtime just because I saved everyone. It's pretty lame tbh. The double lariat is the best move to use against tk.
Combo weapons are a cool idea and they're way better than regular weapons but you get infinite spiked bats which is all you really need. There's also an lmg in the yucatan bushes. Wine combined with wine makes quickstep and there's a magazine to extend quickstep up top in the fish casino.
It's a great game, way better ui, better npc ai, more weapons, a money system. The zombrex idea is dumb, and they shoehorn in the camera since its frank west, but its not as good as the original game's story telling. They added coop and I've played some of it and it was solid. This is my favorite Dead Rising game.
