Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. With 2020 right around the corner, it is very soon that the high-speed trains who does not have any features that fit with the rail regulations are going to be retired like the East Midlands HST’s with VP185 engines. Therefore, I thought try to get some last shots of the East Midlands Railway HST’s before they get replaced by the HST’s the operator has leased out from LNER until the brand new class 810 replaces them and comes into service in 2022 along with the class 180s they are receiving from Hull Trains. This film featuring the HST’s along with other units at Nottingham railway station proved to be quite interesting because the first of the freights that appeared was perhaps the longest one I’ve ever seen (see it solo in its own video). Hope you all enjoy this and best catch your last HST ride on any of them before they go.
