A good fence needs a good foundation and that foundation needs to be deep enough to protect you from frost. One of the biggest issue when building a fence is how to set the posts so that they're not effected by the movement and damage that freezing weather can do to your fence posts. As the ground freezes, thaws and lifts you need to make sure your posts are buried enough to not be pushed out of the ground over time.
