King Edward VII of the United Kingdom was king of the United Kingdom from 1901-1910. He was married to Princess Alexandra of Denmark, and they had six children together: Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale, King George V of the United Kingdom, Princess Louise, Princess Royal and Duchess of Fife, Princess Victoria of the United Kingdom, Queen Maud, Queen Consort of Norway, and Prince Alexander John of Wales. In 1892, King Edward VII's eldest son, Prince Albert Victor, died from pneumonia, and Prince George, Duke of York became the heir. Prince George, Duke of York would succeed his father as King of the United Kingdom in 1910.
