If you've ever been served Korean purple rice before, you know how new and fresh it feels to have such a cool colour in the usually boring bowl of rice.
Just add a small portion of black rice when cooking regular rice and you'll not only up the nutrition content, but you'll make infuse colour and fun to the table. Hey, it's the little things that bring daily happiness!
The general rule of thumb is to add about 1tbsp to 1C of white rice, but experiment with it. It's like painting, a smaller amount of black rice will make a soft violet hue, while the more black rice you use, the deeper and royal purple it will be.
If you can't get your hands on black rice, wild rice added in a similar ratio will make white rice turn purple too. It also has more health benefits than plain white rice.
