Big Fat Sweet Trash Stack

A couple of weeks ago, I showed off a stack idea I needed for a recording.
As a refresher, the Components of the stack were:
- @zildjiancompany 19” K Custom Special Dry Trash Crash (Bottom)
- @zildjiancompany 18” K Sweet Crash (top)
- @bigfatsnaredrum Big Fat Bling Ring - White Copper (topper)
From that original stack, the only thing I didn’t personally own was the 19” K Custom Special Dry Trash Crash. I had to return it to my job, who graciously let me borrow it.
Before this stack combination, I’ve tried other versions that didn’t give me that trashy opened hi-hat sound I was looking for.
In addition, I needed to add the new stack to the existing setup using a cymbal I wasn’t already using.
I found the 19” trash crash slightly (and I mean like brand new) used for a fantastic price online, and the stack was complete.
The combination of the thin and super dry 19” trash crash, the high-end smack and definition of the 18” sweet crash, and the sizzle of the Bling Ring gave me the sound I couldn’t say no to.
Remember, a cymbal doesn’t just need to have only one purpose. With a creative mind, the options for sounds are endless!
