The Republic of Kiribati became a meme on August 17th when people found out that setting their region to Kiribati enabled them to start downloading the newly released Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 earlier. This is because Kiribati's time zone is UTC+14. This flight is a short island hop from Maiana Island (NGMA) to Bonriki Intl. Airport, the Kiribati's principal airport on the island of South Tarawa about 40 km to the north from Maiana. The flight itself is fairly boring, but it gives a taste of how enormous the Pacific Ocean is and how remote and lonely those tiny islands are.
