Cygnets
These cygnets hatched over two days, Friday 6th & Saturday 7th May. One egg failed to hatch.
Royal swans
Officially all unclaimed mute swans in Britain belong to the monarch. But these ones feel particularly royal since they hatched just as King Charles III was coronated.
Mute swans
Mute swans are the most common of swan species here on mainland Britain and are easy to recognise by their orange bills which have a large black 'knob' at the base.
