In this video, we show you how "we" use a 3 to 1 mechanical advantage using rope, 1 pulley and carabiners, to pull a moderate sized white tail deer (estimated around 130 pounds) up a steep hillside. (I state in the video that I'm using a 2:1 mechanical advantage. It is actually a 3:1)
During the fall, the slippery leaves make it quite challenging and sometimes dangerous to traverse. Now, add the dead weight of an animal to the mix and you have problems. We understand that in this video, with 2 men, it is not necessary to use this set up, as we could have manpowered it up the hill with just a rope. But hey, that wouldn't be any fun, nor could we show you how to do this so you can keep in your mental toolbox for a time you may need this.
Next time you go hunting for White Tail Deer, Bear, Sitka Deer, or any large game, keep this video link saved. Or learn it now in case you don't have a signal later. Plus, you'll need a few items with you, so you should learn it now. :) Happy and safe hunting everyone!!!

Here is a list of Amazon links with the items I personally used in this video. The carabiner is the only item that is no longer available, so I listed a 25kN (Kilo Newton) carabiner. 1kN=224.808943 pounds. So 25kN is designed to hold 5,622 pounds.
