This is one of my all time favorite wines. The winery was started by Thierry Puzelat and then passed into the hands of Pierre Olivier Bonhomme. The spirit of necessity in which the winery was created and then Thierry's willingness to pass it on exemplify some of the best things about the natural wine movement.
Since Pierre O isnt adding anything to the wine the grapes have to be harvested on the later side to ensure enough sugar. This means they are more phenologically ripe and the wine has all kinds of really unique flavors. It's ripe, joyful, lush, spicy, and savory all at once!
