Heavy rain in Sikkim caused flash floods, leading to two deaths and leaving several displaced. Yangang area in Namchi district was particularly affected, with at least seven houses damaged. A woman was seriously injured, and a person went missing. Sikkim's disaster management teams, aided by locals, conducted rescue operations. CM Prem Singh Tamang assessed the situation. Similar heavy rain was recorded in West Bengal, Assam, and Meghalaya, with forecasts predicting continued rainfall till June 14.
