This shows in small-scale how dissolved air floatation (DAF) filters solids and organics out of drinking water. Air dissolved in the water under pressure forms tiny bubbles, which adhere to impurities and lift them to the surface, where they can be skimmed off. The rest of the water flows on for further treatment. Video courtesy of BlueLeaf (water is discolored for demonstration purposes). Planning and design to add DAF to the Commission's drinking water treatment process is currently underway.
