In this video, I continue my exploration of Samarkand, uncovering more of its rich history and cultural treasures.
First, I visit the tomb of Prophet Daniel, showing his grave and explaining the fascinating story of how it was relocated from Iran to Samarkand. I also share insights into the contributions of the great medical scientist Avicenna (Ibn Sina) and the pioneering mathematician who founded algebra.
Next, I explore Masjid Khizar, the first mosque of Samarkand, constructed by the Arabs upon their initial arrival. I delve into its historical significance and architectural beauty.
My journey then takes me to the Ulug Beg Observatory and Museum, where I showcase the remarkable astronomical instruments used in the 16th century by the great astronomer Ulug Beg.
Finally, I wrap up my vlog and announce my return journey to Abu Dhabi.
