In this video a few shots of the Scrambler rolling chassis. The axles are installed with heavy duty springs all around. The springs will help with towing and carrying gear in the rear, and the front will be well supported when the new Ramsey Winch goes on. I did have to get a new power steering gear for the project as the original was worn out and leaking badly. I am going to make a heavy duty Jeep CJ power steering bracket setup for this Scrambler as well.
For Mickey I have the steering gear finished and the damaged T90 Transmission case welded back together. Fedex can damage anything and they managed to crack a small piece off the case where the bolt goes thru the bottom mounting flange. I tig welded the piece back together after cleaning and grinding, with some cast iron nickel rod. Strong as original and the repair will be seamless when I finish grind everything.
I finally have a block ready for cleaning and machine work for Brian. The chinese block is out and a good original block will be built back to original specs.
Finally a look at Steve's engine. This is an early engine that will go into his Ford GPW Jeep. Crankshaft is in with .001" oil clearance. I will move on to checking and setting crankshaft end play and then move on to the rest of the rebuild.
