For about the past year, I’ve been weighing all the bikes that I am reviewing. I bought this commercial shipping scale and it’s been really fun to see how much the different bikes tip the scales. One of these days I will have to get around to doing a video just showing the weights of all the bikes I’ve had on the scale.

This bike, the 2017 KTM 150 XC-W, came in at 226 lbs. That makes it the lightest full size dirt bike I’ve tested. The interesting thing to me is that one thing that I have really discovered is that there is a difference between “weight on the scale”, and how much “weight you feel on the trail”. I say this because despite the 2017 Sherco 300 SEF-R being the heaviest bike I’ve weighed, it certainly felt among the lightest. You have heard me say this before… weight isn’t everything, but it’s not nothing either. Enjoy the video.
