If you have a chance, I recommend that you take the time to watch some of the nightly shows. This particular one I call the "Knife Show" at Club Amigo Playa Ancon.
When staying at the Club Amigo Costa Sur, Club Amigo Playa Ancon or the Brisas Trinidad Del Mar hotels in Cuba, I definitely recommend traveling via the Jaime Gonzalez airport in Cienfuegos (90 minute drive) as it is a lot closer than the Abel Santamaria airport in Santa Clara (3 hour drive) albeit the drive through Sancti Spiritus is definitely worth the extra time.
While there, do plan a visit Trinidad which has been classified a World Heritage site by Unesco or take a trek to the Topes de Collantes or to the El Nicho falls.
