Better safe than sorry in harsh winter conditions and choosing a good winter tire is essential to ensure your safety and well being on the road.
This is a rough overview of where and what I got installed for the winter with the new model 3.
Note original tires had 70% tread left after 15k KMs so can expect those to last for another 30-40k KMs.
The tires selected for the winter are Pirelli Ice Zero FR and since the upload of this video I have clocked 3000 kms on them as well and overall my review for them is 8/10. They provide excellent traction at a much lower price than Nokian and Michelin X Ice (got mine for $820 CAD and 1600 tax in with the replica rims). However they are at the expense for range and efficiency and previously my model 3 would average 150-160 Wh/Km on my daily highway commute and it is now doing 180-200 Wh/Km but this can also be due to the weather change and colder conditions. Nontheless happy with the price and the performance of these tires, also came with a $50 rebate in mail.
Not a paid promo but you can also check out the place I got them from in Markham for GTA viewers. Many more reviews for the Model 3 and other cars coming to channel. Stay tuned!
