Should I talk to police if I know I’m innocent?
You should never talk to the police without your attorney being present, even if you are innocent. The reason for that is that the police are trained to obtain admissions, confessions, and inconsistencies. They're going to use any inconsistencies in your story as evidence of your guilt. They can take your statement out of context and they can misunderstand you. Later on at trial, they're going to testify as to how they remember the conversation going, and not what you actually said.
