Bangors is a village set on either side of the A39 Atlantic Highway, just over 4 miles South of Bude in North Cornwall. It is the main settlement in Poundstock parish and is in between the hamlets of Treskinnick Cross and Coppathorne, and almost half a mile from Poundstock hamlet itself.
When entering Bangors via the A39 Atlantic Highway, it is signed as 'Poundstock'. However, this signage is technically incorrect, as the real Poundstock is, as already said, half a mile away. This has led to some confusion with Bangors now often being known as Poundstock, although its original name still remains in common use.
There are no shops, pubs or post offices in Bangors, however there is an organic guesthouse along with a Methodist chapel.
