What is f-stop/aperture?
Aperture is basically a hole in your camera’s lens that lets light pass through. When you change the size of the aperture, the f-stop is simply the number that your camera shows you. The tricky part is remember that the lower number (f-stop) lets more light into the camera. So a lens at f-2.8 is going to let more light into the camera than a lens at f-4. The lower number is always ideal for shooting in a low-lighting situation.
