The Independent National Electoral Commission in Nigeria has held a meeting with international affairs experts, civil society groups, government officials and Nigerians in the Diaspora to seek international support ahead of Nigeria's 2015 general elections.
At the meeting, the chairman of the Commission, Attahiru Jega, said that commencing election on time and getting materials on time to finish elections were some of the challenges the commission was facing.
"In 2015 we should do everything possible to ensure that we meet the international standard of doing elections as and when defined," he said.
