In a painted room there is odor due to chemicals in the paint and the many layers of paint that needs to be applied. Typically odor is absorbed within 24 hours if the odor is mild. I was given the task to remove the paint odor from a room. In this situation I was in a painted room no bigger than 10x10 with about 3.5 cans of paint freshly applied to the walls, ceiling, doors and floorboards and after 24 hours there was but a faint trace of paint odor and by the second day not a trace smell from paint.
