The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is releasing its report on the impacts on climate change. Richie Merzian outlines what we can expect from the report, and what has changed since the last one was released 7 years ago.
"It'll articulate that these impacts of climate change are happening right now. These aren't for future generations. Like the black summer bushfires we had in Australia or the extreme heat in the US, flooding in Europe. These things are happening right now and they're increasing in terms of frequency in terms of severity."
"What is the cost of climate change? So often we think about the cost of taking climate action, switching energy, or cars. This will paint the picture of what is the cost of inaction and that cost just continues to grow."
said Richie Merzian on Ticker News.
