The Willie Clancy Summer School prides itself on having the finest traditional Irish music from Ireland and abroad.
The week long summer school of traditional Irish music and dance is held every year in Miltown Malbay in County Clare. The event commemorates the town’s best-known musician, uilleann piper, Willie Clancy and has been running since 1973.
The Willie Clancy Summer School is now established as the leading summer traditional arts festival in the country.
Director of the Willie Clancy Summer Schoool, Muiris Ó Rócháin says that what is unique about the school is the high-quality teaching with some of the best musicians from around the world.

Miltown Malbay has always been a stronghold of traditional music and over the years it has become an academy for Irish music, song and dance. The festival brings people to the town and as a result, benefits the local economy.
