The University of Manitoba presents the Outstanding Young Alumni Award to graduates under the age of 35 who have demonstrated significant contributions to their field of endeavour, their community and UM.
Ashley Richard leads the National Indigenous Hub for the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub and has also co-founded an Indigenous comedy festival. Chris Voth founded the Pride Without Prejudice Beach Volleyball Tournament and has been named an assistant coach of Canada’s 2024 Olympic Team. And Dr. Nirvani Umadat has brought dental care to remote Guatemalan villages and advised the European Space Agency on how to maintain oral health in orbit.
